They continued into StarPort, the city of debauchery and licentiousness. Where it is a common saying "What happens in Starport, stays in Starport". Weasel and Kmaregh, managed to have an "audience" with the Duchess at one of her many nightly parties. Where it was learned that the archive of everything the Duchy knew about the mythical land of "MURICA" was held in a Tower about 100 miles away by a contract Wizard, who has been conjuring up a force of demons to counter both the Barbarians and the Egg of Coot. Although they haven't heard from him lately...

I think the party is now headed towards this tower...

I spoke too soon, they Party had not yet left for the tower. Instead they had easily talked their way into one of the Duchess' frequent all night parties and asked for the low down on the Mages Tower. Since information is so easily bought in StarPort, the Duchess simply said well, "Let's talk to the Mage himself." and proceeded to her Bat Phone. But just as soon as he got him on the line, there was an earthquake and the line went dead.

Being told the Duchy was founded and run by Mages, Kmaregh decided to hit the local library for further information on the "Freedom Bells" (and/or the Tower, I forget which). During his stay, he was able to ask pertinent questions from a mysterious form in a robe with a mysterious haze over his face, hairy palms and a big "R" embroidered on the back of his cape. By deduction, the party guessed this was "Rahl" performing community service for whatever Snizzlephish did and paying back student loans for leveling up.

As soon as the participants of the party sobered up, they departed for the Tower.

They spend a good deal of time planning their flight on their Magic Carpet, until I pointed out it could only carry four persons thus wasting 20 minutes or so. They decided to hoof it.

They made it to the first inn on the way without incident. Their only encounter was with a Gnome shepherd and his adolescent son (also headed the same way). During the night Kiki played a come-on ploy on the son to find out if they were up to anything. (No event.)

Next day they stopped back at The Dock stayed for the night. They also watched a Gnome minstrel show (no event). Then the next morning took the local ferry across Thunder River. The Gnome act was so good, Kmaregh booked them for a gig at the Zoo next spring.

They first encountered a badly beated up Kobold who easily surrendered for the safety of the Party. It told them it was running away from his Orc-Master boss. The party took him in. It successfully pointed out a pit trap set in the road.

Next day they found and befriended an impoverished Pitbull Pup.

Next day the Party defeated 6 Hook Horrors and recovered some coins in a sack more or less evenly distributed amongst the Players. (40SP/6GP/12PP) Hook Horrors tasted like chicken, so they stored the meat.

Next day, attracted by the smell of chicken, the party defeated an attack by a pack of Pit Bulls. (The Pit Bull pup cowered and hid.)

Next night the party found the Orcs that beat up the Kobold (there were six). Weasel sneaks in using his robe of blending to investigate and enters what appeared to be the Leader's tent. He finds and opens a chest with a signet ring with the letter "L" and 14 gold, (which he pockets). Finding no person therein, he exits the tent and finds he is surrounded by a dense fog and the Orcs are gone.

Next day, the come to an abandoned Manor house and coincidentally the Party is accosted by an incoming hungry Red Dragon wearing a plaid beret named MacScorch. Everyone except the Pit Bull puppy makes their saving throw versus fear. So the puppy pees all over Huang and bolts for the open garage door on the manor. Meanwhile the party makes a deal with the dragon for the remains of the 6 Hook Horrors who were being marinated in a ziplock container in one of the Party's bags of holding.

Having satisfied the dragon, the Honda and Kmaregh entered the garage (which turned out to be a stable) to retrieve the lost pup. They find the it squealing in what appeared to be the wooden toothy jaws of a stable stall. Attacking the wall the knocked the wooden teeth out but during the episode the doors of the stable closed shut behind them.
