Due to the noise factor, from the next room the Players reconsidered the day of the week for the game again and thought about moving to Thursdays. But delayed any decision, so the next game is still on Wednesday. Which is at World's Best Comics, 9714 Warwick Blvd Newport News, Virginia 23601. Start time is somewhere around 6PM or shortly thereafter.

++++ START OF SESSION ++++

This week the Party did not accomplish much except for the following:

Enter the character Balentine, who had been absent from play many years. Having advanced warning however, I worked him into the game as the mysterious female Drow. It turned out that Balentine was Numrendir's date from the night before. As Numrendir's guest, both retired to Numrendir's room at the Come Back Inn. Numrendir having the personality of an old man (due to a character flaw) fell asleep even before he could get undressed. Balentine took this opportunity to ransack Numrendir's stuff and took 20 percent of gems and coins. (Not so many they would be missed.)

The next day back at Honda's ship "Far East Development", Numrendir had to explain to Huang & Honda why he hired three new sailor crew members without permission. Numrendir explained they were NOT to man the crew of the ship "Far East Development" but instead part of the crew to man the ship "Golden Dragon". (The ship the Barbarians had impounded in Detroit.) The explanation was sufficient and the Save vs. Apology was made, no harm done.

The party mostly commiserated on what to do next.

Seeing as there were getting nowhere investigating the murders, they decided to abandon the investigation and attempt to retrieve Huang's ship "The Golden Dragon" from the Barbarians.

For quite some time Balentine negotiated the price for his services for joining the party. He did not want a share of the spoils rather, he wanted 45 Platinum Pieces per day plus room and board. A careful accounting of Numrendir's assets he could hire Balentine for 5 days and after cashing in an asset (held by Willis) that would pay for 35 days more.

++++ OUT OF CHEESE ERROR ++++

Thanks for the update! I notice there is a "Golden Dragon" mentioned in the FFC. Is that where you got the name of the ship from?

Sorry, but no. A player came up with the it because he likes Chinese food from a restaurant with the same name.
