I like Labyrinth Lord. Interestingly though, being limited to being a B/X Clone (my only beef with it), its limited to 14th level in its scope. While many Blackmoor adventures can be ran in that range, the DA modules are Companion Level adventures. Which options exist for expanding the game to that range?

Has anyone ran LL campaigns in Blackmoor?

Never done anything with LL and Blackmoor together, but since LL is such an early-edition D&D-friendly game I don't see that conversion would be that complex.

I'm a little curious about your comment about levels, however. If LL goes to level 14, and the DA modules are rated at levels 10-14, why would additional rules be needed?

I don't recall which levels are technically "Companion" but I would be more inclined to scale down the DA modules rather than amp up LL. Of course, I always felt that level 12 was the ultimate endgame of OD&D and like low-to-medium level games rather than uberpowerful ones.

I've had a group express interest in a simple game of DnD and while I'm the only one in the group who gathers online mind you who has ODnD/BECMI books on hand I'm thinking of running them through LL in Blackmoor. I will be using Mutant Future as well for monsters and for my one player who wishes to play a animal mutant as psuedo/gnoll or beatmen with the mutations acting as 'blessings' from Hel, I might allow other race/classes from Mutant Future as well, the pure strain humans or mutant humans for Federation Humans from the City of the Gods. I'll also be using plenty of homebrew classes as opponents, a lovely fleshweaver for Coot servants sounds good to me.

Also saw that the Starships and Spacemen is backwards compatible with Labyrinth Lord, Its very much a retro version for sci-fi like star trek. I think it could be used to recreate the time when Blackmoor was a quarantined planet to the galaxy. Possibly even add to the sci-fi elements, haven't read the rules yet but I've seen a few reviews.

Any though folks? I do enjoy how LL had the druid as its own class and not a prestige class for the cleric. I agree with Harvard as the fact its levels don't exactly go pass 20 unless house ruled. If my group gets that far I will house rule levels past it or something in that manner.

The obvious answer is Dark Dungeons!
