Patronage sounds like an interesting concept, but alien to my experience with Old School gaming (except in Traveller, where patrons are commonplace).

Pretty simple, IMO. If B/X had ascending AC and the basic d20 dicing conventions, it would look a lot like the DCC RPG.

If you want, check out the free beta and see where it falls ... and if nothing else, it is worth it for the new Otus, Easley, DSL, and Roslof art. :)

I can't believe that I missed this thread! :oops:

I've been playtesting DCC since March or so and it's a great game system. I think it would be a great fit for Blackmoor and hope someone gets around to it before I do. :P
