Kolbenborg?
I believe that Kolben is "rifle-butt" in German, but borg is more Scandinavian than German. Very odd name, that!

EDIT: after having looked it up, Kolben also means piston, which seems to go nicely with the idea of a clockwork fortress. :D

Lovely map, BTW. :) ...except, why on earth (or Greyhawk) did they colour the water green, too? :?

Kolben is really just piston, not, ahem, butt-related.

Kolben is also a term for a huge, ahem, male piston, though.

Anyway, this sounds really interesting, like it can just as well be in DA's Blackmoor. Going to have to have a closer look. Nice find Havard.

Kolbenberg does sound better. :)
As I suspected, there is a real , but no mention of a Federwerksschloß. :wink:
Nearby is the ruins of an old Roman fortified garrison (Heidenstock). You can't swing a dead kobold without hitting some history over there. :lol:
