Did anyone here play in the MMRPG at cons or home games? I am interested in hearing about your experiences!

I've GM'd them regularly for years, but always play instead when I'm at Origins or GenCon. The adventures are a lot more fun and fast moving than, say, Living Realms, but part of that may be due to the mechanics (3.5 vs 4) being used. There was a strong "campaign" feel to it too, as many adventures build off of, or at least referenced, items, people, and events from other adventures.

I really liked the Epic of Hadeen series, the Redwood Scar/Contagion series (which tied into the Epic of Hadeen in episode 50, Prey), and the Temple Of The Frog/Mere Flight series, probably in that order.

Sheridan,
I agree that the Epic of Hadeen is great. I havent read the Contagion series yet, but I love the Redwood Scar so a follow-up to that should be very interesting. I will check out that and the Temple of the Frog one (of which I have also heard good things) ASAP :)

I'm running it. Too early to give a final comment, through, but so far so good.

For those of you who are playing through the MMRPG, I might add that there are additional adventures that only ran a single time.

At the kickoff of the MMRPG season at Megacon in Orlando, we ran an event type that could only run a single time. For anyone familiar with Living Greyhawk or Living Arcanis, these are known as "Interactives".

I am not certain that much of the materials survived, but at one point, we had some 15 tables of parties all participating in a massive battle (think one chunk of a LoTR movie scene) - It was super cool because we were also able to use siege works. Catapults would randomly throw sones into a table and players just had to deal with it. It's the most fun I've had running an event like that.

I bring it up because the events that took place in those Interactives were hard plot points on the campaign and they represent some missing stuff that might make some of the later episodes appear confusing. I'll see if I can find those...
