Thanks for the shoutout, but... That link doesn't go to the LFC.

As to the concept, obviously in my opinion, the WL-centric approach is better, simply because the Viridians are protrayed as godking-like race, while the froglings, well, are frogs with spears.

But for a BM-centric approach, why not?

Yikes,
link has been fixed now. My point was not to say that Viridians were descended from Frogfolk, but rather than Frogfolk and Viridians have the same ancestors (The Sar-Aigu), but yeah at this point that is just nitpicking.

I am more interested in seeing Viridian Crusaders in NC1030 looking for The Temple of the Frog in seach of ancient artifacts of their ancestry. Might easily stir up some trouble in a standard Blackmoor campaign :)

I wrote a piece like that a few years ago, called "The Viridian Dagger", for some contest at the Necromancer Games forum.
No idea if I still have it, though. The idea itself works, though a tie to WL is likely going to bring in concepts that supersede BM lore; the Viridians are the "World Emperors", after all.

Back when I was running The War of the Thieves, I pondered introducing the elusive Prince Justini, a WL NPC, to the campaign, as a husband prospect for Tolleen, if Mant wouldn't make it.
I decided against it after reviewing the material, because it would have driven the PBP into a completely different direction.

Overall, joining the two settings together can be rewarding, but I think one would need a long introductory period in a game to bring in all the changes.
I might pick up the idea in Reprise, though - if, as the LFC assumes, the present of our BM and the present of WL are the same, then,
the future of the settings might be interesting in that respect: If the line of the World Emperors dies, then that will shake up the Viridian ecology all over the planet.
