Games are (usually) on Thursday nights sometime after 5:30PM at World's Best Comics, 9714 Warwick Blvd Newport News, Virginia 23601.

Last night we had a typical meat lover's pizza, phillycheesesteak substituted for pepperoni. Added bonus, got a free upgrade to extra-large.

++++ START OF SESSION ++++

Continuing where the Party left off in training. Next person on the list was our 10th level Monk, Huang. High level Monks need to formally fight in hand-to-hand combat another Monk (or Monks) of equivalent levels of the next level. I chose the easy way which was against Huang with a single 11th level Monk.

Wrong move, I should have chosen 2 Monks of 5th and 6th level or 3 Monks of 4th, 4th and 3rd level.

The bottom line is since combat is based on initiative, and since a single Monk hit can stun an opponent, the Monk who gets in the first swing wins.

Huang won initiative of course. His first swing inflicted a to-hit roll needed by five or more, thus causing a mandatory period of "stunning" the opponent for 'x' number of rounds. Technically Huang was free to defeat his "stunned" opponent at will.

This invoked a major incident with the group's Rules Lawyer.

He noted since the effects of the word "stun" were not described in the rules, therefore "stunning" had no effect and was therefore meaningless.

So we wasted at least a half hour debating and searching the rules until we found the defition on page 115 of the "Combatant's Guide to Slaughtering Foes". Essentially it is a synonym for unconsciousness per unit of time.

The rest of the Party present leveled up without incident.
