PART 1.

++++ START OF SESSION ++++

The party had made it up to BlackMoor and left Elefus down in Boggy Bottom healing and teaching his new converts to the faith.

Since they had nothing better to do and also since they had qualified, Huang and Numrendir decided to level up. Huang is a Monk going up from Level 8 to Level 9 in HackMaster. Meaning except for improving non-monk skills, he has no formal school requirement. All he has to do is defeat 9 levels of Monks in hand to hand combat. As GM I picked one 9th level Monk. As hits and damage is based on initiative, Huang got lucky and got initiative two rounds in a row, defeating the opposing Monk.

Numrendir on the other hand as a Conjuror had to enroll in formal schooling, since the University of BlackMoor was handy he got a 10 percent discount, but not the full 25 percent for being a BlackMoor native. Unfortunately he got an apathetic professor, who was either burned out or just in it for the money and harbored no notions that teaching being a noble profession. He did not have a particular love of teaching and even resented being reduced in station to a mere "instructor". He was just biding his time until something better comes along. Unfortunately for his students (and Numrendir) they suffered for it. Not only that the class was crowded and overbooked. As a result Numrendir barely passed the course. Aside from gaining the mandatory new spell for advancing a level, Numrendir learned no bonus skill points.
