This week was again a simple immersion into the investigation of recent murders at Blackmoor's Town Inn.

First item on the agenda was the announcement arrest and trial of the Innkeeper of the Town Inn that afternoon. The Innkeeper was accused of harboring criminal elements and conspiracy to murder. The party attended the trial but were not summoned to give evidence, neither did they speak up for discovery. The InnKeeper was swiftly executed by hanging that afternoon at 6PM. Since it was high Summer, it would still occur during daylight hours. (Medieval justice being what it was.)

In attendance at the execution were various towns folk. As GM I made little one inch square cards each with a different personage's name in the campaign and I drew about 20 of them. (I even drew King Uther to be present.) The party took a table in the lobby of the Come Back Inn to watch the crowd's behavior, (not the execution). Also in attendance was the female Drow the party had previously met at the Town Inn two sessions back. Numrendir's quirks change his personality to an elderly person of the sane gender, (a.k.a "a dirty old man") so he invited her to the Evening's entertainment at the theater.

After the execution was over, a pair of unfamiliar personages went from Merchant's building and to the Town Inn across the street. evicted all tenants of the Town Inn. Next, a mandatory employee meeting was held within to meet and greet the new management.

Next several of the party members (Huang, Honda, Elefus, Slim, Junkbot, Fundisha, Numrendir and his date) went to go to the Theater and watch the evening's entertainment which was "A Midsummer Night's Wet Dream". Again I drew the one inch cards and set them out four rows of ten separated by an aisle thus managing the seating arrangements. Nothing untoward happened during the show. Except for a few character's flatulence flaws making themselves known, but after it was over, Robert the Bald (also in attendance) invited the crowd to a midnight excursion in his galley with drinks. About half of the Theater's attendance accepted the Robert's invitation including Huang, Honda, & Numrendir and his date, as well as the lead actors in the play.

Junkbot and Fundisha decided to call it a night and go to the Come Back Inn. While walking along Troll Bridge Lane, Junkbot felt a sting on his neck and withdrew a poisoned blow dart, and luckily he made his saving throw. He turned around to face the rest of the crowd along the lane, but did not notice anyone suspiciously out of the ordinary. So missing a little dignity, he proceeded to the Come Back Inn.

Back at Robert the Bald's galley, the excursion was singularly uneventful except Numrendir got his date's name & number.

After they put in back at the dock Captain Basmar and two sailors whom Numrendir contracted the day before where waiting on the other side of the pier for Huang & Honda. Ostensibly they had been kicked out of their lodging by new management they were looking for a berth. Huang & Honda, unaware as a pair had to be assisted with Numrendir's intervention as he had not told them he contracted additional crew without their permission.

(I think a save vs. Apology needs to be rolled next session.)
