Games are now on Thursday night sometime after 5:30PM at World's Best Comics, 9714 Warwick Blvd Newport News, Virginia 23601.

We had a Pepperoni and Mushroom pizza and since one of the Players won't eat Pepperoni, I got and special made slice of Sausage pizza just for him.

Looking for persons to Play the NPC encounters in this scenario. No pressure, no character building just the willingness to use your power and influence.

++++ START OF SESSION ++++

From last session, the party had just killed off a Dopplemeister about the size of a house. In order to prevent the eventual infestation of blue-bottle flies on a mountain of rotting flesh they decided to burn it.

Next on their agenda, they Party decided to shoot, stab, or inflict some sort of minor damage on each structure in the village, starting with the outhouses. They simply fired a crossbow bolt at each, one to no effect. Although it did lend credence to whether they could hit the broad sides of certain buildings. They also had an encounter along the way.

A pair of cute little children came up to the party, asking for change, holding up their cute little hands, and looking up at them with their sad little glowing red eyes, and their sharp little fanged teeth.

Jacko attacked right away causing massive damage to the poor thing, causing it to cry for its Mommy. (For Dr. Who fans, there was no gas mask.) Huang used his Monk fists on the other one causing it to exclaim "You hurt me! You're a BAD MAN!" However both children failed their threshhold of pain checks, so they were incapacitated in pain and crying. The party immediately tied them up and called for Elefus to help them decide what to do. (I didn't mention it, but the children were regenerating.)

Elefus made his skill check and knew immediately what to do. He cast the following spells on the kids:

1) Dispel Evil (to get rid of the vampirism)
2) Atonement (to cleanse them of their sins)
3) Bless (to protect them in the short term from further evil)
4) Forget (so they don't remember their prior state)

He also healed the kids their remaining hit points.

Social Services were not notified.

Elefus also gave his sage advice, "These things are NOT Undead, but rather infected with Vampirism, otherwise known as Cannibal Street Urchins. While not fully vulnerable to sunlight they do spend their days sleeping in dark alleys and don't go to school, much less do their homework. You may have noticed several of them throughout town and it didn't occur to me what they were, until we encountered them this night when they are awake and at full strength. They have a weakness, they hate garlic, broccoli, and other green leafy vegetables. Which probably saved the town from this pestilence, because most dishes at the bars and taverns were laced liberally therewith."

So the party went to the nearest bar and borrowed a basket full of garlic and corralled the rest of the town's Urchins in one place. Whilst there, Gnomex (a lower level Cleric of Thor), cast an Enthrall spell on the group of kids, who were more or less, easily distracted. During which time Elefus cast the same quartet of spells and cured them all.

(For the record, players get twice the experience points for curing them as opposed to killing them.)

The children were all sent back to their families.

Next day there was a knock at the door of the Feed Store (a.k.a. the Thieves Guild). At the door, was the Mayor, his wife, and the Deputy Mayor in broad daylight (thus belying the idea he may be of the Undead variety), and he offers them the key to the city for rescuing all the children. Also on the street is the city's militia, along with the drum and bugle corps, about to give the town a parade in their honor.

The party is in a quandry, whether to align themselves with Madame Velone, or the Mayor.
