This campaign has moved to MONDAY NIGHTs sometime after 5:30PM at the same place. Games will be held at World's Best Comics, 9714 Warwick Blvd Newport News, Virginia 23601.

PART 1.

We had a single extra large Combo pizza, with the pepperoni to one side to allow for the druthers of one of the participants.

Remaining tasks for character generation were completed such as buying equipment, as we can't have the characters naked after all. Skills not yet rolled for were completed.

I invoked my character flaw utilization system and issued two hand made 3" by 2" cards to each Player invoking a quirk or flaw to be played on another character who has the flaw. Each hard has the name of a character and their flaw and its effect. The character who Plays the card gets an Honor point. The general idea is that HackMaster Quirks and Flaws are usually forgotten during the heat of play, and this will bring them to Player remembrance. Honor points are the incentive.

The original characters from the old campaign were at the town's temporary inn. Except Aerys, the only one of the new characters who made this town her home town. And she's the town gossip.

The new characters arrived in the morning and mingled. Aerys (a thief) stole the show by sitting down at Numrendir's table and ate his breakfast. To top it off he ordered a second helping, put it on Numrendir's tab and ate that too.

When it came to business, Vixine and Blake hired themselves out as contractors at 1 gold piece per day and a share in party's proceeds. Though it wasn't specified whether it was gross or net. Aerys held out for an extra half share. As a token of the contract Numrendir issued to each shareholder a token of the contract consisting of an Electrum piece with a nick in it (a.k.a. a marked coin) to be redeemed for their share. The two other new characters, Dornorin and Jacko also were issued a coin contract. (I think, next session will make sure.)

Numrendir also put the contracts in writing, I'll presume the results of his calligraphy will be displayed next session.

As their first task, Vixine, Blake, and Honda as supervisor (more or less) went through the town door to door asking for a town meeting to discuss the problem of the bandits plundering, raping, kidnapping pillaging and raping again. The meeting to be held at sunset at the Temple of Pangrus.

Of note during the door to door journey, they came to the two story tower occupied by Ernst and Bertram and were greeted by a guard asking them to check their weapons at the door. At which point a card was played forcing Honda to act out her flaw of being a Jerk. Honda refused which resulted in the door being shut in their faces.

Much later at the appointed time, most of the town members showed up for the meeting which was conducted from the front steps of the temple, except Ernst and Bertram for some reason. Little was actually discussed about the banditry and the rapists, and it became apparent some townsfolk were unwilling to discuss it due to "privacy concerns". So it was put forth that the townsfolk could submit their issues in writing in a box at the temporary inn for a reward of one silver piece. (As as to the literacy of the townsfolk free services of a private transcriber was offered.)

Elmo, one of the town's citizenry walked out shaking his head in disgust. Huang followed and was met with exclamations of "Leave me alone!" and "I don't want any part of this!" Followed by taking an alcoholic swig from a small flask. Aerys came to help suggesting to Huang that "We just leave Elmo alone for now, he'll sleep it off."

Since most of the Town Council were also present they (except of course Ernst and Bertram) asked for a private meeting with Vixine, Blake, and Honda) in the temple immediately thereafter. Aerys tried to butt in but got kicked out (since she was not a council member). However, since she is fairy-kin and can fly she espied from one of the temple windows anyway.

At the council meeting it was discussed the former evil Temple several leagues away and its history, including the meaning of its four symbols, anarchy, chance, immorality and insanity but not which meaning belongs to which symbol. Some attention was paid to the its destroyed outpost some miles away which may be hosting new inhabitants.
