ADDENDUM - Modified original post to include pictures of Elefus' Gargoyle and Tujef front and back.

This time we had the another combo pizza, sans pepperoni, with extra cheese.

The schedule is up in the air. The Player for Elefus now says he has a Tuesday night job. Looking for the Player to divulge a better night to Play but it seems the Player doesn't even know what other nights are free for him.

If no further input is received, this game will continue to be held sometime around Tuesday at 5:30PM at World's Best Comics, 9714 Warwick Blvd Newport News, Virginia 23601.

(Actually I think the Player has found another game to play on Tuesday nights. But is too polite to say so. The Player has been known to lie about his whereabouts before. He also claims to be lactose intolerant, hence the extra cheese.)

++++ START OF SESSION ++++

They were met along the way by a pair of wine merchants who sold them a dozen bottles of Elderberry wine. When the party set up camp for the night, Tujef the dwarf quaffed a bottle and passed out. Otherwise the Party kept a watch that night and nothing untoward happened.

The next day while on the march they were hit by a barrage of crossbows from behind an enfilade 110 yards away. Another battle ensued with the following highlights:

- One of the attackers fumbled with their light crossbow and killed himself. How one does that with a crossbow is short of a miracle but I didn't argue with the dice.

- Numrendir launched a Phantasmal Fireball and killed all of the attackers within its radius with 25 hit points. This was discerned on the next round after another Phantasmal Fireball was cast in the same spot and there were no screams as in the prior round.

- Tujef charged on his Phantasmal Steed into the enfilade (cast by Numrendir). He charged right into a ten foot deep trench and was stuck there for several rounds.

- The other attackers in the periphery outside the radius of the Fake Fireball realized their danger. They therefore failed their morale check and retreated into the woods behind their cover while the rest of the party was still approaching.

While the battle was still going on (or what the party thought was still going on because they did not detect the enemy's retreat), another armed group arrived from further down the road. The party checked their advance and directed themselves against this new threat.

Thankfully for the approaching group, they hailed themselves and negotiations began. It turns out this new group were the next town's militia and any resulting casualties would have been a friendly fire incident. (The attackers were not pursued.)

The militia leader briefed the party informing their attackers were local Bandits at a known modus operandi at this ambush point. They were also asked if they had been sold any Elderbarry Wine recently. To which the party replied in the affirmative. They were then advised to not drink it, as it was a Mickey.

Moving on the party made it into the next town of Tharp and stayed for the night at a makeshift inn, as the original inn had burnt down.

Next day after they woke up they were greeted outside by the local town mob, asking them if they came to help against all pervasive banditry.
