This time we had a double cheese pizza.
We had a house pizza substituting black olives for peperoni.
Games are on Tuesdays sometime around 5:30PM at World's Best Comics, 9714 Warwick Blvd Newport News, Virginia 23601.
PART 1.
++++ START OF SESSION ++++
This week the game was simple and mainly conceptual.
On one hand Elefus, was obligated to raise from the dead all the Gargoyles slain during the recent battle. Since he can only raise so many per day. We calculated it would take ten days.
Meanwhile the rest of the party opted to look for their missing boat. They spent a day and a half putting a full page ad in the newspaper with a picture of the boat and the caption "Have you seen me?" Answers to the ad got 3 leads they believed in and 2 they did not. The ones they did not believe were from a farmer and a visiting diplomat (from a country they did not ask). The ones they believed in were from a butler, a baker, and someone who spoke in a transylvanian accent who would only come out at night. So at least they could believe the accented one was out that late at night when their boat disappeared.
Of the two-thirds of the crew left behind one crewmember came forward and said he missed the boat. They had planned a mutiny. Mainly because of the large treasure kept below decks. He said they were going to take it and turn pirate. The battle and the ensuing illusion of a storm made good cover and they set sail that night. The only time they could have been caught was when Honda came aboard during the battle to retrieve two weapons. She paid no attention to the fact that the crew were out and about on deck in port during the night.
They decided to buy a small rowboat with a small lateen sail and head the direction of the three witnesses said, which was back the way they had come. Finding various fishermen plying their trade they also asked about a boat fitting their description. Being honest fishermen they were told the boat headed towards Bill's canal.
(Bill's canal was built by a Player character a few hundred years ago in another campaign between Trog Lake and Bloody Lake.)
At Bill's canal they again asked about the boat. The party's first reaction was "Why didn't you stop them?" The canal operators saidd "We're only concerned about the Toll, we're not bloody policemen."
So they continued the chase and stopped up at Kenville but found no report of their boat there. So they concluded it must have sailed up the Draco channel and taken one of several ways. Thinking it may have gone to Vestfold they sailed again up the Lake of Mists to the other side of Vestfold hoping they would head it off. No such luck.
At this point they gave up and hoofed it to Blackmoor so they could level up again to rejoin Elefus at a later date.
++++ PLAYER DEBRIEFING ++++
Essentially this puts Kmaregh and Twitch out of the picture as they are part of the mutiny. During the end of the session I started playing some Caribbean and Samba music to give the hint the Pirate crew had got away and were probably sipping mai-tais on a beach resort. If the Players come back they will have to roll up new characters.
