JEAN WELLS (JULY 25, 1955 - JANUARY 25, 2012)
Jean Wells was employed by TSR between 1979 and 1981, during which time she worked as an author, editor, and illustrator. She also inaugurated Dragon's "Sage Advice" column, one of the magazine's most enduring features. As the first woman hired as a designer by TSR, Jean Wells played a unique role in the history of both the company and the hobby. She is most remembered as the author of Palace of the Silver Princess, written in 1980 and published in 1981.
Many Gary Con attendees will remember her from Gary Con III, where she spent many hours greeting our attendees while working at the registration desk. She will be missed.
