:P :P :P

<eyes glazing over> Dancy's arguements are based on outdated big industry notions and bean counting. The internet has revolutionized all that and freed us from the mega industry bull crap. He thinks the market is shrinking. Nonsense. The market is moveing out of Brick and mortar stores, away from mega slick corporate packaging and back to its hobby roots.

I also find it laughable that he contrasts tabletop games with online CRP's, as if they are exclusive and competitive instead of complimentary.

Sure from his perspective, the "glory days" of megacorp tabletop gaming are over. So what? TSR/Wotc like companies are both irrelevant and unnecessary dinosaurs in today's world wide web.

Same stuff than in the other thread.

"Either I (Ryan) am an idiot, or the sky is falling. ...So, the SKY MUST BE FALLING!!!"

That said, I followed the discussion on DF. You make very good points.
This is all about flawed semantics, and ignorants who use them.
