Hey, Today is a rather busy day for me, rpg-wise, as you might tell by my post frequency. So, this time, I am looking for something rather uncommon: What are the treatments of a "Black African", or Subsaharan African-style culture in fantasy RPGs? I would be specifically looking for setting depictions that are based on rather modern, egalitarian views on Africa, not so much on the colonialist/racist ones depicted in 30s pulp fiction ("Tarzan"). So far, the only one I know would be Aesheba, by Blake, O'Hare, and our own Frank Mentzer, written for "New Infinities". But are there more? I think, among others, Dragonlance's Taladas featured a jungle-like region, but apart from that, I have to confess that I don't know. Thanks for your help, Rafe |

Interesting topic! Mystara's Tangor realms are detailed in the Hollow World boxed set as well as in some of the Almanac series. -Havard |

Ah, thank you. I had been thinking that there was some Mystara stuff there that I had overlooked. Will have a look at it... |

Also, the D20 Setting Nyambe is pretty cool. -Havard |
