Monte Cook's Numenera with a nod to Arneson - Aegir - 01-29-2013

He calls it, "Le Temple De Frogue."

Its just a sneak peek of the art of his new project Numenera, so theres very little said of it, but apparently its a location in his new world. Check out his Sneak Peeks for a bit more on the location.

He can do that? Because its in French it doesn't violate copyright? 8)

The painting is AWESOME!

Edit: Sneak peaks? I couldnt find more on the location. Has that been removed?

In case you missed it, this is a gallery of the various art pieces, including the Temple.

Found the gallery, thanks! Smile

As you have noticed, this thread inspired my latest blog post Smile

There were a few things that seemed off about this game, but the art looks spectacular and its designed by Monte, so I am getting more and more interested by the moment here Smile

Just got the core Numenera book in the mail.

Oh. My. God. 8)

This book is the most beautiful thing I have seen in a long while. The setting is strange and new, yet Monte Cook clearly understands the needs of players, meaning that the game is also geared towards players having interesting and competent PCs to discover the setting with.

With the thousands of standard fantasy settings out there, I am also thrilled to see something that is both different and yet not off-putting.

The maps and illustrations really help convey the atmosphere of this unusual world and makes me want to discover it. Now!

Anyone else get their copy yet?
